Linda Kirstein

Art is my passion. What started as a hobby, segued into a love of learning and experimenting with different artistic media during the pandemic, and remains an intrinsic part of my daily life. I started, like most artists, painting realistic landscapes. This changed dramatically in 2021 when I enrolled in an online art course and truly began to understand the "art" of painting abstractly. I still paint realistically but I am always drawn to the opportunity to express what my inner muse wants to say through abstract painting. I start intuitively and it can take several layers of paint and other media before the painting begins to tell it's story. Its a thoroughly entertaining journey for me. I paint wih acrylics but I also enjoy collage with paper and fabric, acrylic inks, alcohol inks and anything I can create with driftwood!
