Artists retain 60% to 100% of their sales depending on volunteer time. Volunteers are crucial if we are to succeed as a community gallery. Please consider helping in the gallery.
If you are uncertain your work would be suitable for the gift shop please submit the form below with some images of your work.
Homemade soaps, cosmetics and teas require FDA approval and must be labeled or packaged in accordance with Health Canada's rules.
Changes to Accepted Items
Beginning May 1st, 2024, we will no longer be accepting pre-printed merchandise. All work must be made by hand or embellished by hand in some way.
Suggested items:
Please Note: All items must be tagged or stickered in some way with your last name, first name initial and price. All printed material must be packaged in sleeves (for it’s own protection) As our space is limited we will be rotating gift shop items every few months.
Items will be listed in the Square and ready for sale within several days of receipt of items. Please remember the size guidelines for paintings.
To apply for inclusion in the gift shop please fill out the Gift Shop Intake Form and await an email with further instructions. If you do have access to a computer to complete the online form, please contact Kimberley at 250-508-1599 and she will guide you on the next steps.
**Please do not bring things into the gallery shop without first filling out the form and then being confirmed by the shop team. We will notify you as to when you can bring in your
items.
Items will be listed in the Square and ready for sale within several days of receipt of items. Please remember the size guidelines for paintings.
After completing the online submission, you will receive an email with a copy of your submission form for your records.
Please look for another email from Kimberley Zutz –
zutzart@gmail.com - this will give you instructions on where to place your items when you bring them to the gallery.
All items will be assigned a colour coded dot for quick reference to the month that they were received in, and it will be noted in the description in the Square.
The plan is to keep the gifts shop looking fresh, so every 3- months Kimberley will look at what is not selling and make a decision to have the artist take these items home and replace them with new ones.
If there are too many items in the gift shop, some will be kept in the overstock curio cabinet. This will allow for room to see the gift shop without overcrowding the space. Example: you bring in 10 of the same item some will be kept in the curio cabinet and switched out every 2 weeks to give a new look
We have been asked by many artists, when displaying, to have their works kept together whenever possible. So please keep this in mind if you are making any display changes.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Kimberley Zutz at the above email or at 250-508-1599.
